Home learning with help from quality audio books: Online education has a baby-history compared to traditional-on campus education, but one thing is sure. It’s here to stay and will continue to grow. This is confirmed by a number of recent studies that look at online education developments every year. First, while looking at what’s out there, consider all types of books. Don’t limit yourself to just one “scholarly” source or even a language learning text. With bilingual e-books, all reading genres are represented. Choose something that piques your interest. There’s no shame in starting “small”-what I mean is, keep it basic to begin with. You don’t need to grab “War and Peace” for your first e-book-or even your twenty-first. Children’s books or comic books are solid reading materials and both are available for bilingual e-reading.

Even with all the benefits of audiobooks, however, they are not for all students. For some, the pace may be too fast or too slow. For others, the narrator’s voice can be irritating or the use of cassette or CD players can be cumbersome when compared to the flexibility of the book. Increased Comprehension. Researchers believe that one can memorize the story when he/she listens to it. A person does not have to invest energy to decode the word with audiobooks. These books are productive in terms of memorizing the content of the story. Build Confidence. Students are independent in the class to use audiobooks. Ultimately, they learn quickly and speak accurate words. The phenomenon builds their confidence. They perform impressively in the school and out of school. Multiple advantages of Audiobooks make them a favorite choice of many people. That is why; people prefer audiobooks to printed books.
Increases comprehension. When students can hear the story or information as a whole, read by a human being, their comprehension increases. Reading books word-by-word doesn’t help create a whole experience. Kids in grades 3-8 who can finally put all the pieces of information together at one sitting, begin to make meaning of text.
